We have many years’ experience in the composite decking fitting service all around the Stirling area. Given the wet Scottish climate, people concluded a long time ago that timber decking needs too much maintenance and it also becomes too dangerous during winter months. There is plenty of obvious reasons
to leave timber behind. When considering fitting composite decking one of the first decisions you’ll need to make about your decking area is its shape and size which is going to determine your budget.
Square and rectangle decks provide a lot of usable square footage and are often easier to scale properly to your home. To avoid the need for railing, an expense that not everyone budgets for, make sure your deck stays low to the ground because if the fall is more than 500mm you will need railings, which can really add to your budget. If you don’t fit a railing and you try and sell your house this can have a negative impact in your Home Report. Our range of composite decking requires virtually no maintenance, it does not need wood staining or painting and vitally it looks good all year round. Our boards are slip resistant, virtually maintenance-free, and are a hard-wearing alternative to traditional timber decking.
Arguably the least environmentally friendly choice on the market, composite decking is composed entirely of man-made materials such as polyvinyl chloride. Due to the composition of plastic decking, the manufacturing processes used to create it produces carcinogenic fumes that are emitted into the air, contributing to pollution levels. Most PVC timber-alternatives use virgin plastic to create their boards. By using recycled materials for our products, we help to sustain the environment and our values.
